Counselor
I am honored to be your school counselor at Ironwood Elementary. I have spent the past 24 years working in the Marana Unified School District as an elementary educator. I graduated with honors from the University of Arizona with a B.A. in Elementary Education. I am currently completing my Master of Arts degree in School Counseling from Northern Arizona University.
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of such a positive, caring school that Ironwood is. I am passionate about helping all students to feel safe, supported and successful in our school. I look forward to teaching life skills lessons every other week for all classes and will also be providing small group and one-on-one counseling sessions as needed.
The topics that I will address in the life skills lessons include problem-solving skills, conflict resolution, goal setting, decision making, adjusting to change and more. I am a huge proponent of mental and emotional well-being and will also be teaching anxiety/stress management, personal safety, and handling peer pressure.
If you need any help, assistance, or resources in or out of our school please feel free to reach out. I am here to support you!
